Autodesk Launches Autodesk Inventor LT

Autodesk has made available a technology preview release of Autodesk Inventor LT and the best part is that the software can be downloaded for free. Inventor LT makes it easy to create, share and edit 3D part models from different CAD systems.

Inventor LT is a subset of Inventor technology, providing the same 3D part modeling, import/export, documentation and rendering features as Autodesk Inventor. Capabilities not available in Inventor LT include 3D assembly modeling, specialty design and simulation tools, AutoCAD Mechanical and Vault.

Autodesk Inventor Workshops

If you are completely new to Inventor, we suggest you attend one of our free hands-on workshops. These 1/2 day training sessions will help you evaluate how Inventor or Inventor LT can be used to create, share and edit your 3D designs. A trial version of Inventor is available to attendees.

Autodesk 2006 Software Retirement

On March 13, 2009, Autodesk will be retiring upgrades from AutoCAD 2006-based products and Autodesk Inventor 10 software. After this date, technical support will be available only for more recent versions. To help you make the move to the latest release, you can save on upgrades from the retiring 2006 releases to the 2009 versions of Autodesk software.
